Tuition

Prices do not include HST. A 10% discount will apply when registering for three (3) or more courses per child. There is a one time $20 + hst administrative fee charged each dance year per student (September – June). Each session varies in price according to the number of classes offered. On average, Fall sessions are 15 weeks long, Winter sessions are 10 weeks long, and Spring sessions are 12 weeks long.

Other Fees:

  • There is a one time $20 + hst administrative fee charged each dance year per student (September – June).
  • For classes performing in our Fall and Spring Recital, $15 costume fee has been added. Please note that Acro classes are only performing in the June recital. Non-refundable and no exemptions if not participating in the shows. Classes with “technique” in the title are non-performing classes. Preschool classes (Ballet, hip hop, tots & teddies) will perform in recital.
  • Fall and Spring Ballet Production: $30 costume fee. Non-refundable and no exemptions if not participating in the shows.
  • Tickets for Fall/Spring Recital and ballet production is $15 each. Fee includes access to download video recording of our performances. We charge tickets to our productions so that we can cover the rental and staffing costs for these events.

Option #1:

Payment in full on the day of registration for all classes registered.

Option #2 (Add 4% processing Fee to Total):

50% down on the day of registration with the balance paid with 1 post-dated installment. Post-dated payments or a valid credit card MUST be provided at the time of registration.

Option #3 (Add 4% processing Fee to Total):

Monthly payments of tuition are only available to dancers committing to the same class(es) for a full dance year (September – June). Should a class be dropped mid-session for any reason, the class will be non-refundable. Any additional classes registered after monthly payments have been set up must be paid in full in addition to monthly payments at the time of registration. Post-date payments or a valid credit card MUST be provided at the time of regsitration.

KV Dance Studio accepts visa, debit, cash, cheques on site, along with online payments via our online registration system. 

PLEASE NOTE: Any class that does not meet the minimum number of participants will be cancelled and a 100% refund will be given, with no administration fees levied. However, the instructor may choose to offer to run the class with lower numbers, however, participants may be asked to pay an additional fee. This fee will be determined by the director according to the amount needed to meet the class minimum.

A 10% cancellation fee will be levied on all student cancellations received up to 10 days prior to the start of classes unless accompanied by a medical certificate proving that the class participant has an illness or injury that prevents them from participation in the class. Refund requests made 10 days or less, or  after classes begin will be subject to a 20% administration fee. 

CANCELLATIONS DUE TO EXTREME WEATHER OR LOCKDOWNS There will be no makeup class or refund should classes be cancelled due to weather or a city-wide lockdown which may put students and staff at risk.
