Ashley began her dance training at the age of 4 at the Canadian School of Dance in Ottawa. At 12, she was accepted to Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, Professional Division, and studied there for six years until her graduation. Afterwards, Ashley made her professional debut with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet performing as a member of the Corps de Ballet in ballets such as Giselle, The Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake and The Nutcracker during her time with the company, and had the honour of performing for HRH Queen Elizabeth II during Her Majesty’s 2002 tour across the Commonwealth in celebration of her Golden Jubilee.
Over the course of her career Ashley has performed in New York City as a Soloist with Eryc Taylor Dance, The New Dance Group, Janusphere Dance Company, Terra Firma Dance Theater, and Continuum Contemporary Ballet, in Connecticut with The Connecticut Ballet, in Toronto with Ontario Ballet Theatre, and as a Principal with Willow Oak Contemporary Ballet in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Ashley began teaching ballet in both recreational and competitive dance studios in New York and New Jersey in 2009 and has been back teaching ballet to both youth and adult learners at studios across the Ottawa area since 2015. Ashley is passionate about creating a fun and relaxing atmosphere in which to share her love for ballet with dancers of all ages and skill levels and is extremely committed to the growth and development of her students.
