Here at KV Dance Studio we have a wide range of classes in a variety of styles.

Acrobatics
Acro is an athletic art form seen in Cirque du Soleil®. It focuses on strength, balance, and flexibility and develops body awareness, confidence, coordination, and discipline. Virtual Acro classes have a strong emphasis on technique and safety.
- Beginners will learn fundamental skills, correct technique, and build a solid foundation needed for higher levels.
- Intermediate and Advanced students will learn progressions and variations of limbering skills and balances as well as work on their handstands, back flexibility, and contortion technique.
- Our instructors are certified to teach Acrobatic Arts Primary to Pre-Professional Acro Levels. Acro students may take their acro exams virtually.

Virtual Acro Training Programs
Beginner Acro Program 7+
- Dancers can expect to learn basic acro balances, proper handstand technique, build strength and endurance, and progress flexibility safely.
- We will be goal setting and working towards personal goals. Weekly flexibility & strength homework will be assigned to ensure progress.
- This class takes place for 45 minutes, 2 times a week.
- Stretch & Strength class is also mandatory.

Pre-Intermediate Acro Program 8+
- Dancers can expect to continue working on acro balances, proper handstand and bridge technique, build strength and endurance, and progress flexibility safely.
- We will be goal setting and working towards personal goals. Weekly flexibility & strength homework will be assigned to ensure progress.
- This class takes place for 45 minutes, 3 times a week.
- Stretch & Strength class is also mandatory.

Intermediate Acro Program 9+
- Dancers can expect to learn acro balances, progressions for front and back walkovers, build strength and endurance, and progress bridge & back flexibility safely.
- We will be goal setting and working towards personal goals. Weekly flexibility & strength homework will be assigned to ensure progress.
- This class takes place for 45 minutes, 3 times a week.
- Stretch & Strength or Flexibility & Conditioning class is also mandatory.
- A “Bonus” class will be offered for those that are a bit more advanced to work on Intro to Contortion. This class will be permission only.
Advanced Acro Program 11+ (Permission Only)
- A strong understanding of safe training and the importance of proper technique is required.
- Dancers can expect to work on acro balances, front and back walkover variations, and progress contortion and handstands technique safely.
- We will be goal setting and working towards personal goals. Weekly flexibility & strength homework will be assigned to ensure progress.
- Ankle weights and Handstand Blocks/Canes will be recommended to those students who are ready.
- This class takes place for 2 hours, 2 times a week.
- Adv Flexibility & Conditioning class is also mandatory.

Jazz
Jazz dance is fast-paced choreography set to popular music styles
and is an ever-evolving dance form, so dancers will have the opportunity to constantly learn the newest tricks, turns and movements.
- Dancers can expect to learn several stretching movements, techniques, combinations, and choreography.
- Our Jazz program follows the ADAPT Jazz syllabus and all instructors teaching are fully ADAPT certified.
- Levels offered: All Levels, Beginner, Pre-Junior, Junior, and Pre-Intermediate.

Ballet & Ballet Technique
This Classical form of dance builds an amazing foundation for dancers who want to improve their overall technique in any form of dance.
- Dancers can expect to learn proper alignment, posture, turnout, balance, clean footwork, and more!
- Ballet Levels offered: Pre-Primary and Primary
- Ballet Technique Levels offered: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced.
Minimum Requirement: No minimum requirement for Pre-Primary Ballet, Primary Ballet, Beginner Ballet Technique or Intermediate Ballet Technique. Advanced Ballet Technique is permission only.

Hip Hop
Hip Hop is a popular, high energy dance style that teaches freestyle movements. It can include elements of locking, popping and breaking.
- Dancers can expect to learn various footwork moves, rhythm,
ground moves, Hip Hop choreography and more! - Levels offered: All Levels, Beginner, and Intermediate.

Contemporary
Contemporary is a dance style that combines elements of ballet, jazz and modern dance forms. It is an expressive movement class that’s commonly set to popular music with or without vocals.
- Dancers can expect to learn many aspects of contemporary dance, including floor work, improv, learning combinations and more!

Pre-School
Our Preschool Dance program features the following benefits:

Zumba® Kids
Zumba Kids classes are designed to combine movement, music, community and a healthy lifestyle for children. These fitness classes are rocking, high-energy dance parties!

Tap
Tap Dance is a type of dance that uses the sounds of metal taps affixed to the heel and toe of shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion.
- This class will focus on developing existing tap knowledge and teaching new skills to kids of all experience levels.
- Dancers can expect to learn choreographed, kid-friendly routines to music all the kids love.

Creative Process
The creative process is such an important part of dance. This class focuses on creativity and learning basic techniques and ideas that will help you create your own master piece.
- Dancers can expect to learn how to choreograph a dance
- This class requires and notebook, pen/pencil, and a camera/camera phone to film when needed.

Strength & Conditioning
Strength & conditioning focuses on movement quality to improve dance performance and to help with overall movement, flexibility, body strength, and posture. Strength & conditioning is a great way to transform your body and build a strong foundation for dance, whether you are a beginner or have been dancing for years.
